Plently of wildlife at the Lincoln Park Zoo. This city-dwellin squirrel was eating a french fry.

hot town, summer in the city...

This old building near Caprini Green, an area formerly known as 'Little Hell', has been abandon for as long as I can remember. With gentrification rapidly encroaching, I wonder how much longer it will stand.

Shedd #3 - This shot turned out great and reminds me of those wonderful old Herman Menzel paintings.

Shedd #2 - there is no visual edge or border on the far side of the big show tank, creating a visual illusion that the tank and the lake are, seemlessly, one.

Shedd #!1 - Maybe a lot of people don't notice, but a I think a lot of thought went into making light come into the Amazon rainforest exhibit..

Easter train # 3; "Abuela wants a New York strip!" Out the window at the Harlem Ave, Berwyn stop, I observed a few Mexican families, dressed to the nines, filtering in and out of Connie's Restaurant, which always advertises "NY strips steaks." In this case, the family was slowly escorting an elderly lady in to dine.

Easter train #2; rare sighting of an Indiana Harbor engine in the Cicero yards.

Easter train #1; nice skyline view from 18th St.
